COMMUNITY

These retreat materials focus on the importance of Christian community. They can be adapted to any length of retreat.

Gathering

We all have to leave something behind in order to come away on retreat. We leave families, jobs, and other responsibilities of daily life. This opening is designed to help attendees begin to release the busyness, worry, and distraction they carry, in order to settle into the calmer pace of retreat.

Gathering Breakout

Opportunity to process the concerns and needs we bring to retreat

Opening Worship

Begin time together with praise and thanksgiving for God’s presence and goodness through past chapters of life. Rejoice in the ability to gather together as a community of individuals woven together by God.

Teaching Session #3

A teaching on forgiveness, reconciliation, and healing

Closing Worship

Close time together with praise and thanksgiving for this time of retreat. Share testimonies of God’s goodness and the ways that He has woven the net of community tighter. Be encouraged to allow God, the Great Fisherman to cast this mended net to draw more people into His community.
