The Gifts of Imperfection

by Brené Brown

Summary

In order to live whole-hearted lives, we have to learn to embrace the weaknesses and darkness we see in ourselves, as well as the goodness and gifts. We have to learn to belong to ourselves rather than hiding our authentic self in order to fit in with the people around us. Then signs of wholehearted living will begin to surface: hopefulness and empowerment, creativity, meaningful work, rest, and play.
