Illuminating Advent

The Light shines into the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome it.

This Advent, explore the ways in which God reveals Himself and invites human beings to partner with Him in His plan for the world.

The Advent wreath is a simple practice of anticipation, the light of the candles gradually building toward the arrival of the Light of the World on Christmas Day.

Similarly, the Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace that the candles symbolize also build throughout Advent. Hope remains that Love will come, Joy will spread, and Peace will fill our lives.

Making Room

Heartbeat of Heaven

We hear it woven through Advent.

Beating through the stories of Zechariah and Elizabeth, Mary and Joseph, the shepherds, and the wisemen. Ordinary human beings acting in extraordinary ways.

Listen carefully and you’ll hear the beat of a love that puts the well-being of others first and gives without expectation of return.

It is agape, and we desperately need to hear.

Do Not Be Afraid!

Even in times of great uncertainty, this Advent season we can find comfort in the phrase spoken by God’s angelic messengers to Zechariah, Mary, Joseph, and the shepherds: Do Not Be Afraid.
