We’ve been singing the words since we were little kids:

I am the church

You are the church

We are the church together,

All who follow Jesus,

All around the world,

Yes, we’re the church together

Quite simply, the church is a group of people who follow Jesus. And yet, it’s all too easy to find ourselves thinking of the church as the building, the staff, or a set of programs in a one-size-fits-all experience for the masses. It is a lesser thing, by far, than the personal relationship that Jesus wants to have with each one of us.

This study is designed as a back-to-the-basics search through the Gospel accounts for Jesus’s model of discipleship. The format incorporates a short personal study component with a weekly small group discussion.
